Our history
When we talk about history, we refer to the past. A past that leads us to understand the present and to dream of the future. This is the case with our successful trajectory, built over the years, the result of the work capacity, strategy and vision that we have always share with the closests partners.
Our growth was being done in a safe and sustained way, based on strong and successive investments and acquisitions, which allowed us to diversify activities, strengthen and verticalize the business.
Far away goes on June 17, 1985, when Barata & Marcelino – Engenharia Energética, Lda. was founded by the partners: Fernando Barata and José Marcelino. Starting with a small warehouse and with only 5 employees, including their own. We started our activity with the focus on domestic and industrial electrical installations maintenance, diversifying over the years.
With a rigorously outlined expansion plan, with a strong focus on innovation and important decisions made, we arrived in 2024 with a lot of work done, but also with much to do.

The path taken so far has not taken away our eagerness, strengthened our desire to continue to grow, to develop new projects and to face new challenges.
